At DronePort, we offer state-of-the-art test facilities with segregated airspace, allowing you to test and demonstrate new applications to customers and train unmanned aircraft system (UAS) pilots. All our test grounds are managed by Limburg Regional Airport in close collaboration with the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA), ensuring safe operations. Unique ecosystem

In 2013, the local government of the City of Sint-Truiden conceived plans to revive the former military site and propel it into the 21st century of aviation. DronePort has now established a unique ecosystem, complete with infrastructure and services, to foster research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the aerospace and drone industry. The DronePort Incubator serves as the home for startups, organizations, and research teams engaged in developing, producing, or servicing this exciting new market. Our incubator fosters cross-fertilization between research and product development, providing the foundation for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Extensive testing facilities

Located in the heart of Europe, DronePort offers the perfect environment to establish your drone or aviation business and capitalize on the extensive testing possibilities and the thriving ecosystem of research institutions, startups, and corporate companies in this exciting new market. The airport of Brustem, where DronePort is situated, has been a prominent aviation center in Belgium and Europe since the early 20th century. Having played a crucial role in World War II, the airport became one of the leading training centers for Belgian military aviation. In 1996, the site was decommissioned and military activity was relocated.
